With a combined 64 years of Fine Art education and portfolio development, Neil and I have built wildly successful careers in the film and television industry. We are sculptors, painters, builders, fabricators, set dressers, art directors, set designers, production designers, and architects of infinite possibilities. Specializing in film and television art rentals, we handle commission work that includes everything from four five-foot abstract brutalist sculptures to custom hero modern/abstract dog designs crafted to SketchUp specs. We’ve had the privilege of creating pieces for Disney, ABC, WB, FX, NBC, and others. We are proud members of the IATSE Union with decades of experience in film and television art rentals. Neil, a Local 44 member, continues to work on countless film, television, and commercial sets. Many of you may have had the pleasure of collaborating with him, as he is always positive and smiling. He knows what works on set, builds creative solutions on demand for Star Trek Enterprise, is a poster artist guru, and even knows how to load a 5-ton!
As a Local 800 member with 27 years in graphics, special visual effects, and production design, I take pride in my work within the art rental services sector. I often say, 'My longest client is FOX Sports, which I helped launch in 1995 (and I still work with them today), and my best client is the Dr. Nandi Show (over 200 episodes and a NATAS Michigan Emmy).'
Together, we form a powerhouse creative couple filled with Love & Light, doing most of our work side by side in the exciting realm of film and television art rentals.
When hired for production design, finding the perfect artwork for our sets can be a daunting task. For the Dr. Nandi Show and the PBS Detroit redesign, we took the initiative to create our own artwork! We now extend these art rental services to all our clients.
One major advantage of running an art rental business as artists is the ability to craft custom works for clients who struggle to find the film and television art rentals they need. We then rent these customized pieces to them! In other words, we offer commission rentals. Of course, we do.
